Louis Gossett, Jr. – The Book Of Negroes

In February 2015 BET will air a six hour mini-series entitled The Book of Negroes starring Louis Gossett, Jr. that tells the tale of Aminata Diallo, a woman kidnapped from West Africa by slave traders and brought to South Carolina, but who never stopped trying to gain her freedom. The project is based on a novel written by Lawrence Hill.

Mr. Gossett was recently in Cannes, France, promoting The Book of Negroes project for sales to a worldwide audience. He made a very successful presentation in
Cannes during a panel discussion, as seen in the picture provided above.
